Agility Cloud – Scalable, Managed cloud services
Private Virtual Servers – Fully Managed Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS)
Our Agility offering is a fully managed Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solution that provides ready-to-use private virtual servers along with a wide range of infrastructure services.
Built on VMware® vSphere®, a leading virtualization platform known for its performance, advanced features, and resilience, this solution ensures your critical workloads are always secure and available.
Each virtual server is tailored to your specific needs and configured with the following parameters:
- Number of virtual CPUs
- Size of virtual memory (in GB)
- Size and type of virtual disks (performance-optimized or capacity-oriented, in GB)
- Operating system
A virtual processor (vCPU) corresponds to a physical processor or a physical core within a multi-core processor.
Reference Architecture
The architecture of your Agility Virtual Machines (VMs) includes:
- One or more external network connections, which may be:
- The public Internet, secured via a firewall service
- Your own MPLS network with direct access to your VMs
- A combination of multiple external networks
- At least two network interfaces for each VM:
- One network interface for external connectivity
- One dedicated network interface for administrative traffic
- Administrative access via a KDDI France out-of-band management network, through a secure VPN connection (IPSEC or SSL) with two-factor authentication and firewall protection. Monitoring and snapshot services are delivered via this secure management network.
Infrastructure Services
The Agility solution includes a wide range of infrastructure services to help you manage and operate your virtual machines (VMs) on a daily basis:
- Creation of private virtual servers by KDDI France based on your specific requirements,
- VM monitoring: performance status and operational health,
- Network traffic filtering with managed firewalls,
- Administrative access to your VMs secured by two-factor authentication,
- Daily snapshots (instant backups) of your virtual servers with 7-day retention,
- Multi-operator Internet connectivity with DDoS protection managed at the telecom operator level,
- Optional: Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) available on a remote site for your critical virtual servers.
Network Access & Security
KDDI France’s high-performance and fully redundant network infrastructure enables up to 1 Gbps bandwidth on the network interfaces of your virtual machines.
Your VMs are securely connected to the Internet through a cluster-based firewall system.
Our France-based expert team continuously monitors network traffic to ensure its security.
We also support you in managing network flows and setting up secure VPN tunnels to your virtual servers.
Storage
Your virtual servers configured with the Agility solution can be equipped with two types of storage:
High-Performance Storage
Powered by full-flash SSD drives, this storage delivers input/output (I/O) performance up to 10 times higher than traditional spinning disks. It is ideal for demanding workloads that require speed and reliability.
Capacity Storage
Based on traditional hard drives with an SSD cache, this storage option offers cost optimization for storing less frequently accessed data—perfect for archiving and long-term retention scenarios.
Resilience and High Availability
The KDDI France expert team relies on VMware® hypervisors to manage the Agility cloud platform. VMware® services deliver maximum resilience, power, and flexibility through features such as:
- Live migration of virtual machines from one hypervisor to another with no service interruption
- High availability ensured by automatic reboot of virtual servers on another hypervisor in case of hardware failure
- Load balancing with automatic distribution of hardware resources to optimize performance.
VM Monitoring

Snapshots
A daily backup for peace of mind
Take a daily snapshot of each of your virtual machines to:
- Enable full restoration of a VM,
- Provide protection against failures or accidental errors,
- Keep snapshots retained for a rolling period of seven days.
Infrastructure Administration
Secure and traceable access for administrators
Control the data flows between administrator workstations and the production infrastructure with:
- Wallix Admin Bastion technology, certified at ANSSI Level 1,
- Comprehensive tracking of actions performed on production servers,
- Protection against the spread of malware from administrator workstations.
