The Essential Plan is an IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) solution that provides a dedicated pool of fully virtualized IT resources.
It enables you to independently manage a virtual data center without the complexity of maintaining physical infrastructure.

This service is built on a suite of open-source products. Each resource pool is defined by the following criteria:

• Processing power of virtual CPUs (vCPUs)
• Virtual memory capacity (vRAM in GB)
• Storage size and type (high-performance or capacity-optimized, measured in GB)

You can create as many virtual machines (VMs) as needed and assign any number of vCPUs per VM.
However, the total consumption at any given moment cannot exceed the allocated pool capacity.

Our Essentiel offering gives you access to the following services:

• Allocation of virtual resources (CPU, memory, disk space, networks)
• User management
• Virtual server management
• Multi-operator Internet connection

Essentiel simplifies the management of your Virtual Datacenter resources through a web console, particularly for the creation and management of virtual machines.
It allows you to:

· Have an administrator account, manage users and their access rights

· Manage your virtual machines (VMs)

Your virtual servers configured with our Essentiel solution are equipped with high-performance storage, using full-flash SSD drives, with I/O capacities up to 10 times higher than those of conventional spinning disks.

KDDI France experts rely on open-source hypervisors to manage the Essentiel cloud platform.
The services of this solution provide maximum resilience, performance, and flexibility:

• Live migration of a virtual machine from one hypervisor to another without service interruption,
• High availability with automatic restart of virtual servers on another hypervisor in the event of hardware failure,

Administration of the infrastructure // Securing and tracing administrator access
Control of flows between administrator workstations and production infrastructure:

• Wallix Admin Bastion technology, certified ANSSI First Level,
• Tracing of actions performed on production servers,
• Protection against malware propagation from the workstation.
